Animal Arts Architectural firm to help design new facility ...

The Charlevoix Area Humane Society board of directors is pleased to announce that it has agreed to engage Animal Arts of Boulder, Colorado to aid in the design of a state of the art animal housing facility. This new facility will benefit the entire Charlevoix community by providing space for longer term housing of  homeless pets and a facility better suited for adopters and the adoption process. Additionally the facility will add a much needed center for daycare and boarding of pets along with room for classes and educational events for schools and service organizations.

It is the hope of the board, that by increasing our capacity in a building designed specifically for long term care of homeless pets, by increasing the space available for educational classes and events, and enabling a small scale income producing program of daycare/boarding/grooming, that we will be better able to deliver on our mission of helping neglected and homeless animals and aiding the greater community of Charlevoix with their pet related concerns.

The Charlevoix Area Humane Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are not affiliated with any political organizations or any other humane society groups in or outside the United States. Funded entirely by contributions, fundraisers and service contracts, CAHS relies on the generosity of our donor base to help drive programs and services to the community.
